MASSD Community Advisory Councils
The Mexican American Student Services Department collaborates with dedicated Community Advisory Councils to help shape the mission and vision of our programs. These councils are made up of passionate educators, parents, students, and community members who are committed to advocating for and empowering Latinx students and families.
This council provides a space for Latinx parents to stay informed, engaged, and empowered. Join us to learn about your student’s rights to a high-quality education and how your voice can help shape decisions within Tucson Unified School District (TUSD).
- Community Advisory Council
Comprised of local leaders and advocates, this council helps bridge the connection between our schools and the broader community, ensuring Latinx students and families receive the support they need.

This student-led council provides a platform for Latinx youth to express their ideas, concerns, and visions for the future. We support student leadership, civic engagement, and educational advocacy.

The College Academy for Parents (CAP) is designed to guide K-12 families through the essential steps of college preparation. Students may become eligible for a special scholarship if parents complete the program.

The Parent Prevention Academy is an informative and engaging program aimed at equipping parents with valuable skills and knowledge to navigate important topics related to youth well-being and Drug prevention this will be held at:
